Anne Hathaway is bringing her acclaimed role in Off-Broadway play Grounded to the big screen.
The Oscar winner appeared in the single-actor show at New York's Public Theater last year (15), and now she is set to reprise her role and produce a movie version of the drama.
Playwright George Brant will adapt his own script for the movie, and according to Variety, new mum Hathaway believed in his work so much that she secured film rights for the play before opening night.
Directed by Tony Award winner Julie Taymor, Grounded tells the story of a fighter pilot tasked with operating an unmanned drone.
Hathaway received rave reviews for her performance, earning her both Drama League and Critics Circle Award nominations.
