The writers behind the sequel to hit action movie Wanted have ruled out bringing Angelina Jolie back from the dead for the highly-anticipated follow-up.
The actress' assassin character Fox shot herself in the head in the final scenes of the 2008 blockbuster, but fans have been hoping film bosses would somehow bring her character back for Wanted 2.
However, screenwriters Derek Haas and Michael Brandt insist they didn't want to push the boundaries of reality too far.
Derek Hass tells Hollywood.com, "Angelina Jolie gets shot in the head and everyone's like, 'Oh, are you going to bring back Fox?' I said, 'Did you see the bullet go into her head?'"
But Derek Haas insists fans can look forward to more James McAvoy, who is returning for the sequel: "The only thing I can tell you is that Wesley (James McAvoy) is now, four years later, recruiting a young woman who is in his situation in the first movie. She's got a sh**ty life. He's sort of in the Fox role. This new girl is brought into the world."
