Amy Schumer is set to bring her stand-up comedy tour to the U.K. and Europe for the first time.
The Inside Amy Schumer star finishes the North American leg of her comedy trek in Madison Square Garden in New York City on 23 June (16), and she will take a break before bringing the tour across the Atlantic for the first time.
"I’m going abroad! #SchumerTour," Amy announced on Twitter, with a poster advertising the eight European dates.
The stand-up shows will kick off in Dublin, Ireland on 26 August (16) and stop in the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Denmark before U.K. shows in Edinburgh, Scotland and Manchester and London's O2 Arena.
When Amy was testing out material for her tour in New York in March (16), she reportedly made jokes about her new boyfriend Ben Hanisch, who she began dating in January (16), observing how the press is surprised Ben is good-looking.
During the break in her tour, Amy will release her book The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, a collection of candid and humorous personal and observational essays, on 16 August (16).
"Amy mines her past for stories about her teenage years, her family, relationships, and sex and shares the experiences that have shaped who she is a woman with the courage to bare her soul to stand up for what she believes in, all while making us laugh," the synopsis reads.
She will next be seen in cinemas in drama Thank You For Your Service, about the effects of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) on soldiers returning from Iraq, and is set to star alongside Goldie Hawn in an untitled mother/daughter action comedy.
