Actress and model Amber Rose wept as she saluted ex lovers Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West at her first-ever SlutWalk event in Los Angeles on Saturday (03Oct15).
Rose has picked up a reputation for blasting her former husband Khalifa and ex-boyfriend West, but it appeared she had nothing but love for the guys as she addressed the hundreds that joined her to protest rape and sexual harassment.
"He came out with this song that really hurt me, because all I did was ever love him," she said of Khalifa. "I loved him so much and gave him a beautiful son, and to be told that I was nothing but a stripper - it hurt."
She also addressed comments West made about taking 30 showers after leaving her, adding, "I want to forgive Kanye for what he said about me. I want to let all the negativity go.
"People are ignorant and you have to be the bigger person and be the positive person to forgive, and move on and help other people around you that have been through the same thing."
Rose walked with her fans and activists, holding signs that read 'Strippers Have Feelings Too' and 'My Clothes Are Not My Consent'.
The model and many of those taking part in the protest wore revealing and provocative clothing. She was inspired to stage the first-ever SlutWalk event after a male Los Angeles police officer suggested women wouldn't become rape victims if they didn't dress "like sluts".
Rose's charity the Amber Rose Foundation has launched a GoFundMe campaign to "support our foundation and groups and organizations of women who have been subject to slut shaming, a lack of implication of double standards, sexual assault, and even rape."
She is hoping to stage SlutWalk events in other cities.
