Amber Heard was pictured smiling as she left her lawyers' office one day after she was granted a restraining order against estranged husband Johnny Depp.
The 30-year-old actress appeared in a more relaxed mood after a reported four hour meeting on Saturday (28May16) with her legal team in Los Angeles. The actress had previously been pictured looking tearful and distressed after she appeared in the Superior Court of California County of Los Angeles on Friday (27May16) where a judge granted her the restraining order.
Amber initially filed for divorce last Monday(23May16), and but their separation proceedings took a troubling turn when in documents submitted to the court ahead of Friday's hearing she alleged Johnny had physically abused her.
In the documents, the Danish Girl star alleged her husband of 15 months had alcohol and substance abuse issues and stated she "lived in fear" of him and worried he would return to their shared condominium to "terrorize" her "physically and emotionally".
When leaving court after Friday's hearing, the star looked to be in a sombre mood and appeared to have bruising on her face, which she alleges was caused by Johnny attacking her with an iPhone.
However in pictures published by MailOnline.co.uk, she looked in better spirits when leaving Saturday's meeting arm in arm with a female friend. Amber was clutching a laptop and was without her wedding rings.
Representatives for Johnny have responded to the allegations, releasing a statement which read, "Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse."
Friends of the 52-year-old actor have also lined-up to defend him in the wake of the domestic abuse allegations, with Paul Bettany, his co-star in the films Transcendence and Mortdecai, joining veteran actor Mickey Rourke in defending Johnny.
Paul wrote on Twitter, "known Johnny Depp for years and through several relationships. He's the sweetest, kindest, gentlest man that I've ever known. Just saying."
The comedian Doug Stanhope, a close friend of the star, went further in an article for TheWrap.com and alleged that Amber had invented the abuse allegations.
Johnny's daughter Lily Rose Depp and her mother, his ex-wife Vanessa Paradis, have also defended the star, with Vanessa writing an open letter in which she called the abuse claims, "outrageous".
