Actress Amanda Bynes is back behind the wheel after officials in California re-issued her driver's licence.

The Hairspray star was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) and hit-and-run charges in 2012, prompting authorities to suspend her licence.

Bynes has now regained her driving privileges, according to Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) records. The star was seen driving a black BMW with her father in Los Angeles on Sunday (20Apr14).

Bynes is working on her recovery after completing a stint in a rehabilitation centre last year (13).
