Former The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air star Alfonso Ribeiro was crowned the king of the ballroom as he was named the champion of TV show Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday (25Nov14).
The actor saw off competition from runner-up reality TV star Sadie Robertson and third placed Pretty Little Liars actress Janel Parrish to take home the mirrorball trophy with professional partner Witney Carson, who scored her first win on the series.
On Monday's (24Nov14) penultimate episode, Ribeiro earned an impressive perfect score of 40 for both of his dances, and wowed the judges again on Tuesday's finale for the final performance of the season, a Cha-Cha/Argentine Tango fusion dance, which also garnered a perfect score of 40.
He even received some support from his former Fresh Prince co-stars including onscreen sister Tatyana Ali who was in the audience cheering him on, as well as Will Smith, who took to Facebook.com on Monday, urging his nearly 75 million followers to take his lead and vote for his friend.
Ribeiro, who has been eager to join the dance show since its inception nearly 10 years ago, was brought to tears upon winning the titled, and gushed, "Ten years ago, I wanted to be here, and wanted to be here every year in between... I cannot believe this. I've wanted it forever. I don't even know what to say. These are happy tears."
Ribeiro's dancing career isn't over yet - he's joining other members of the Dancing with the Stars cast for a tour, which kicks off late next month (Dec14).
The finale of the 19th season also featured musical performances by Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor and Jennifer Hudson with Gorgon City.
