Adele thrilled a young fan at a gig in New York City on Monday (19Sep16) by pulling her up onstage and promising to hang a handmade piece of art in her home.
The Hello singer was performing the first of six shows at Madison Square Garden when she halted her set to introduce fans to four-year-old Quinn and her aunt.
She told the audience, "I saw this when I was coming up," referring to a gift the New Jersey youngster had made for her.
After exchanging pleasantries, the singer told Quinn, "I have a little boy who's about to turn four."
Realizing that the little girl and her aunt had left mom in the audience to take photos, Adele ushered the proud mother to the stage, stating, "Mommy, quick! Come down!"
She then learned the family was celebrating the 65th birthday of Quinn's grandfather at the concert and waved at him from the stage before posing for a family photo and offering to post it on her Instagram account.
The fans then left the stage as Adele promised to hold on to Quinn's art work, telling her, "I'm gonna put this on my wall at home... I love this."
Meanwhile, Adele could be spending a lot more time on America's east coast after telling fans at a gig in Boston, Massachusetts last week (ends16Sep16), she is "desperate" to continue her education and her top school pick would be the state's prestigious Harvard University.
"I know that sounds ridiculous but it's one thing I really plan on doing," she confessed.
The singer plans to pick up her studies after being forced to reject a university offer when she landed her first record contract.
"I was about to start university in Liverpool in England and then I got offered a record deal, so I was like, 'Ugh, what do I do?'" she explained. "Obviously I took the record deal which I don't regret at all."
"I want to go and do a tour of Harvard but I don't want anyone thinking I'm smart enough to go to Harvard," she laughed.
Adele's plan to take a break from music and further her education comes after she confirmed reports she is going to quit touring for 10 years once her current trek is complete.
