Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been tapped as the face of Givenchy's latest men's fragrance.
The British actor has signed on to appear in the advertising campaign for the new scent Gentleman Givenchy, with the images set to be unveiled from August (17).
Romain Spitzer, chief executive officer of Givenchy Parfums, said Aaron was the natural choice for the marketing imagery due to his energy and versatility as a performer.
"Firstly, because he is an artist we like a lot, because, in fact, he knows how to do everything," he told WWD. "He knows how to dance. He knows how to sing. He's funny, intense. He is very nice and has an energy that we like a lot. For me, his personality is a mix of elegance, charisma, generosity and singularity."
While details about the new scent are being kept firmly under wraps, Spitzer explained that the perfume will be aimed at the Millennial market and will also slot into the existing Gentleman fragrance franchise.
Brand founder Hubert de Givenchy launched woody aromatic scent Givenchy Gentleman in 1975, while Gentleman Only launched in 2013, and was accompanied by a campaign which starred Australian actor Simon Baker.
"We touch a lot of generations," shared Spitzer, who added that the new incarnation will be "freer and a bit more audacious."
Aaron, 26, has risen to fame following performances in 2009 John Lennon biography Nowhere Boy, the Kick-Ass movies and in features such as 2012's Anna Karenina adaptation.
But the actor, who is married to filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson, really made his mark as a rising star in 2016 following his acclaimed performance in Tom Ford's thriller Nocturnal Animals, for which he won a Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actor.
