50 Cent's sex tape case will proceed, despite the rapper's bankruptcy filing this week (beg13Jul15).
A federal judge in Connecticut has ruled the case against the rap star, real name Curtis Jackson, will resume on Monday (20Jul15).
Last week (ends10Jul15), a jury in New York awarded Lastonia Leviston $5 million (GBP3.3 million) determining the rapper illegally posted a sexually explicit video she made with her boyfriend online as part of a spoof video.
The jury members were set to consider punitive damages on Monday (13Jul15), but Jackson filed for bankruptcy on the same day, stalling Leviston's lawsuit.
Her legal team has suggested Jackson filed for bankruptcy to evade testifying in the case.
