50 Cent has shown his support for singer Frank Ocean, insisting he's eager to hit the studio to work on a collaboration with the Odd Future star.
Ocean posted an open letter to fans on his Tumblr.com page earlier this month (Jul12), revealing his first love was a man, and it prompted stars including Beyonce, Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears, and Pete Wentz to salute his bravery.
50 Cent insists fans should forget about Ocean's sexual orientation and focus on his music, and reveals he'd love to work on new material with the Odd Future star.
He tells Digital Spy, "He's cool. The (Ocean's debut single) Novocane record was dope (good). I don't have a problem with Frank Ocean. I think If you have a problem with Frank Ocean you should have had a problem with Luther Vandross. You should have had a problem with Kenny Green. It's not the first time a male R+B artist chose an alternative lifestyle.
"I'd want to work with Frank Ocean. It's just content now. Because you just left that fresh on people's minds, now what is the song about? You know what I'm saying? When you did Novocane it wasn't a love record. It was dope, just the music, the content.
"A lot of times people in the R+B (sic) cling to love. I get really excited when they make really strong efforts that don't actually have love involved, or relationship-based content."
