I'm Oliver Trivina, here at the Young Hollywood Studio with this gorgeous girl, Whitney Port. How are you?
Good. How are you?
Lovely. Lovely. We have had all your old castmates through
Yeah.
the studio and I wondered why it took you so long to stop by. I thought
This is the first time I've been invited.
Okay. You've had everybody out here, you from the city?
Pretty much. Yeah.
Well, not from the city, but you know your old Hills castmates and stuff like that. Um, who do you keep in contact with?
Um, I talk to Lauren here and there. I see her around, but other than that, we don't
And now you both got your books coming out as well.
Well, she's had her books. She's had a lot of books. Yeah. She's doing really well. Um, not really. We have a really different sense of style. Not in like a bad way, but um.
You have to put that disclaimer out.
Yeah, no, just different, just different, yeah.
Okay. You've got your new book coming out.
Yeah, true. It's February 1st. It comes out in like a week. I can't believe it.
And it covers fun style and beauty, right?
Yeah, it's kind of like a lifestyle how to guide for girls my age, kind of going through that quarter-life crisis, what my mom calls it. Just girl. Um, I mean, guys could find a tidbit in there, I'm sure, but it's mostly for girls.
We need her help as well. We need some tips.
Yeah, you do, but you need to find a find a guy that can help you out with that. Dating, always wait for the guy to kind of approach you first, you know, like not not when you first meet them, but when he's trying to seek you out, let him
Yeah, let him work for it a little bit. So we're going strong then. So it doesn't help us because if we read that, then it would help me.
Yeah, that's true. That's true.
But I wouldn't be standing in the corner of the bar on my own every night, would I? All makes sense. If only we met years ago, my life would be so different. A style no-no for a girl.
Never go out naked.
That's a good one. That's a definite style no-no, isn't it?
Yeah, that's definitely a good one. When you go out at night, try to do your makeup in the lighting that you're going to be in because that's how you're going to be seen.
Okay. I always remember that too. So I'm surprised at how much this does help men, the men of 2011 anyway. Are you wearing makeup?
I'm not. Not at the moment, actually, no. But I do.
Only at weekends I crossdress. You do talk about some guy wowing gifts which I think guys should get more gifts. So I'm glad that you put that out there.
Well, this one fun one that I actually got, so it's good for girls too, but I liked it for a guy, was this like beer of the month club. And you can do it for anything. You can do it for like barbecue sauce or wine.
I love where your head's at. I'm really a fan of this book. It's absolutely brilliant. Um, and also in your life, you're hosting this new reality Genuine Ken, which is finding the new American man, right?
Basically, yeah. I mean, I think Ken is kind of coming out and he wants to get back together with Barbie because they've been separated for a little while.
Okay. But I'm really happy they're coming back together.
Yeah. That's what love's all about.
I miss them together. They were perfect for each other. So I had to separate my dolls at home. Now I can bring them back together.
Exactly. So yeah, Mattel decided to do this show and it's searching for the great American boyfriend and each episode kind of goes through different um ways a man can prove himself.
What would you say the best thing in a man would be?
The best well, I don't necessarily think it's a talent, but I'd say one of the best qualities of a man um is just a really good listener. That's like one of the most important qualities to have.
Kind of like what I'm doing now.
Yeah. So, you go.
Exactly. I've got it. You said it. In you.
