Well, there she goes again, the dope Ethiopian, and now the world around me becomes moving in slow motion whenever she happens to walk by. What was the apple of my eye, overlook and disregard my feelings no matter how much I try, wait, no.
What's up guys? Nikki Novak here in the Young Hollywood studio with Adam Richman. Hi.
Hi.
How are you? Great shirt.
Thank you.
Great beads.
Thank you very much. Let's compare. When two twin powers are activated.
Should we compare impressions just to get things started?
Why not?
Of what? Well, I heard you do a great Elaine dance.
Well, it's hard to do seated, but I'll do like a seated version of her dance. The full body hiccup. You ready? It's pretty awesome.
It's pretty great. That's pretty great. All right, give your best. What do you do? Who's your best?
Who who do I do? I have a good Satchmo impression, but I don't really know as a white Jew how how a Louis Armstrong impression is really going to carry me. Uh, But I think to myself, what a wonderful world. Oh yeah. I don't know. How come I didn't get a round of applause?
I I I I gave you mine. I just I don't really inspire following I suppose. I can probably do better. So let's talk about the show.
Please. I'm tasting my top three sandwiches in ten US regions. The one that rises above the rest will win the region and move on to the National Championship for a chance to be crowned Adam Richman's Best Sandwich in America.
You rate sandwiches based on it's like you call it the bite, it's the bread, the interior, the taste. It's the experience too.
Exactly right.
So what is your like when you go to a restaurant, what is your favorite kind of experience? Like I like personally diners, hair in a ponytail, no makeup, where I can just chill out.
Yeah. I mean I think that the thing is even the best fine dining restaurant should still give you a very chill vibe. The place is extremely cool and they always have different sauces for you to try. The eating experience for me of the Yardbird sandwich here at Slows is absolutely exceptional.
You're picking like 30 finalists, right? Like 10 different regions, three sandwiches per region.
Right. I pick two and the celebrity picks the third. You know, look, it's completely subjective. It's not called Adam Richman's Best Sandwich in America because of like hubris and, you know, this is my magnum opus. Right. It's just simply my opinion. When Primanti Brothers got blown out in the first round, the amount of hateraid, the metric ton of hateraid I received from Pittsburgh. And I love Pittsburgh. Like I, I think it's one of the most underrated, most interesting cities, most physically beautiful cities there are and Primanti's lost and people from Alaska that used to live in Pittsburgh were like, you should rot in hell and die. Literally, you are the lowest form of scum there is. I can't believe the Nick's roast pork beat a Primanti sandwich. Unlike any fish sandwich I've had, the batter is somewhere in between tempura and beer batter. You get the steakiness of the fish without coating it mask.
Okay. So we have some questions for you, they're called, it's called Random Thoughts with Adam Richman.
Do it.
Favorite country to eat in?
Japan.
Wow. That was quick. Best place to grab a pastrami sandwich in New York City.
Katz's Deli.
Okay. Well, not many people might be aware you hold a degree from Yale School of Drama. If another actor were to portray you in your life story, who would it be?
Um, Colin Farrell. Ugh, if only. There's a little bit of a man crush going on there, but I think, uh, I get, I've gotten Robert Downey Jr. a decent amount throughout my life. I've also gotten Fred Savage. So, it depends.
I don't see that one.
If it's a major TV movie, I'm sure Fred Savage will step in, but if we're going for major motion picture, maybe like, you know, Robert Downey could do like a De Niro in The Untouchables and bulk up a little bit.
If you're going to Subway, what are you getting on your sandwich? And what would it be called? Did you know they've the most locations of any of any food chain around, even more than McDonald's?
Now, they're blowing up, and they have tons of avocado. I'm, uh, they do, and they they just recently, I'm I'm behind this avocado initiative. Um, I'm a turkey, uh, turkey guy. Lots of veg, no cheese. Whole green toast.
In a hot dog eating contest, Anthony Bourdain, Andrew Zimmern, or yourself, who's winning that challenge?
Has Tony been drinking the night before? I'm I'm because the thing is he's as if by his own description in No Reservations, a grizzly little thing. But I bet I've seen him eat on the show, and I I ate with him a couple of times. Um, I don't know. Is that the size of the dog in the fight and the fight in the dog? If Andrew wants to win, if Andrew wants to win, Andrew would take him down. But I think that if it's the day after Tony's been like, you know, bending elbows, I think Tony may have an extra, like, turbo boost for like the last three hot dogs.
You have more one liners than anybody ever one liners.
There's lime in the mayo, there's lime in the slaw, and that kind of bracing sourness works so well with the richness of both the fried chip, the fried fish and the creaminess of homemade mayonnaise. The habanero lime mayonnaise will make our sandwich head and shoulders above the others.
I know you can do some, I mean, M&M too.
Yeah, I guess you saw that clip on Sway.
Yes.
I'll be being too quiet now. I'm just waiting for for me to do more more more hip hop.
Can we get one line?
Uh, well, there she goes again, the dopest Ethiopian. And now the world around me becomes moving in slow motion whenever she happens to walk by. What was the apple of my eye, overlook and disregard my feelings no matter how much I try, wait, no. I didn't really pursue my little princess with persistence. In fact, my sweet little kooky dachshund was unaware of my existence from a distance. I desired her, secretly admired her, wired her, and let her to get her and I went, my dear, my dear, my dear, you didn't know me, but I know you very well, and let me tell you about the feelings I do for you when I try. Or make some sort of attempt, I sent. Damn, I wish I wasn't such a wimp.
Whoa! I'm going to pour out some coffee for my Jewish-American princess right here now. Okay, wait a second. That was not one line. That was insane. That was insa
It's hard once the muse is upon me.
