Welcome to younghollywood. com. Hey guys, it's Michelle Marie with Young Hollywood. We are here at the Kiss FM Gifting Suite. We are here with Raven-Symoné. Now the last time I saw you, Raven, was a year ago. How do you actually not get, you know, bombarded with like the paparazzi and with all the negative stuff that's out there? Raven-Symoné: I'm not in it for the fame, I'm not in it for, you know, the celebrity, I'm in it to work. I'm in it to have great characters.

How have you been since then? You had a really big year. Raven-Symoné: I've been really good. I've just been working on myself and finding different projects and I started on my new album. And um, yes we did. And I'm into it right now, trying to find the right sound for me. I'm going a different way than most people might think, so that's fun. I'm 24 now, so I get to adventure into new areas.

Absolutely. Now what artists right now do you love? Who are you listening to at the moment? Raven-Symoné: You know what, I'm so old school. I still have Aaron Hall in my, in my tape deck. You know what I'm saying? Like, Tony Braxton, En Vogue. It's like the old school R&B that everyone loves, you know? I hope it is. And I hope it's coming back. Like we just went through the 80s and you know, time repeats itself. So I'm ready for, you know, Drew Hill to come back, and I'm ready for, you know, Jodeci. Do you guys remember Jodeci and SWV? Like I want that back.

Well maybe that should be something that you work on. So you can be like the newer generation of that. You know what I'm saying? Raven-Symoné: I'm not played. Don't worry about it.

So let's talk about this suite. How exciting is it? What have you been gotten today? Raven-Symoné: Oh, I've gotten this necklace actually. This one that's all love. I have some great shirts from Junk Food. Um, I went to this one station that's selling T-shirts because they're working on a clean water act. A lot of different things and it's great because people are really putting a lot into it and and working with Haiti and trying to be greener in their gift giving, so it's good.

You've done such a great job also at keeping your image just on point. Um, what advice could you give to maybe Young Hollywood out there because you were such, you know, an icon in that, that whole generation? Raven-Symoné: Oh, you're sweet. Um, realize that it doesn't last forever. You get old. You get old. And you have to realize that this is a job. I I recognize this as my job. It's something that I do and I enjoy it, but it isn't my life. I know who I am but I don't believe in who I am in a sense of I know that when I go home, I take off the hair and the Well, I don't have to take off my hair anymore. But I take off my makeup and all of my who what's and duns it, and I'm just chilling on the couch in my pajamas. Yeah. Hey, what's up? It's Raven-Symoné and you're watching Young Hollywood. Stay cool.
