Nikki Blonsky

I'm Oliver here at the Young Hollywood Studios with Nikki Blonsky, the star of Huge.

How's that? It's exciting. I actually just saw the huge billboard, well, it's literally huge, billboard on uh Santa Monica Melrose and I like freaked out in the car. I love it. It's crazy. Love it.

Is that still good weird seeing yourself on a billboard and

Oh, yeah. You never get used to it. You can never get used to it ever.

How is the character like your normal life and upbringing? Did you get ever sent to camp, like those the camps and stuff like that or

I never went to camp ever because I'm very very close with my family, so I'm like you know, I as a kid, I was like

But an American thing that, isn't it? This whole like sending your kids away for the summer?

Yeah, they're like go and I'm like, what that's just I don't I don't see how that's that's normal. I don't I that's just to me, like if I had kids, I would want to keep them with me. But you know, I do have some similarities to Will in the way that you know, she keeps a lot in, you know, she's rather she'd rather do something really, really big than tell you how she feels about something.

Like take your clothes off.

Exactly. Okay. So rather than just succumbing to, sure I'll take my clothes off and you know, do the weigh-in, she decides to strip tease and make it a big, you know, a big thing.

Which is similar to you, you've just said.

Yeah, well, sometimes I I just

Let's see how this goes. Nikki could suddenly strip.

No, I'm just standing here, so.

Yeah, hold on. Uh-oh. She's going. Um, obviously, you're massively known for Hairspray, which I loved you in.

Thank you.

Musical, singing, is there going to be any singing in this show? Because you're so good at it, so.

Thank you. Yes. There is. Yes. I'm going to give you guys an exclusive. Yes. Love that.

Um, what are you watching on TV at the moment? What's your favorite shows and

Oh, I'm a big Bravo person. I love The Real Housewives of New York, of New Jersey. I love all that stuff.

I thought you were going to say Glee, because that's like a perfect fit for you, isn't it?

Well, I do I do like Glee. It's fun.

And you haven't been asked to go in it? That surprises me. Yeah, you can't say that either, can you?

I can't talk about that either.

What can you talk about? Come on, girl. I don't know, pick anything. Apart from stripping, you've not said much.

Um, I I uh have two pups, named Rocky and Frankie. It's five and one and uh they're my life.

Love it. Yeah. So you walk them, that's your outdoor outdoor activities you have.

When I'm in New York. Yeah. That's my that's the only outdoor activity I like.

Pretty much one of the only ones that's great to do in New York, isn't it?

Yeah, that or figure skating in the winter.

Figure skating? That's my favorite. Yeah. Amazing amount of time, you wouldn't it? But anyway, going back to your show, it's been an absolute pleasure. I can't wait to see it, definitely be watching. It's going to be massive. And uh that that no pun intended that was a terrible pun. Somebody's going to say that, but uh yeah, good luck with it.

Thank you so much.
