You guys are definitely the hot commodity right now. Congratulations on Cyrus. You guys are getting so much buzz from South by Southwest and Sundance. How do you feel about the response so far that you guys have had?

I haven't talked to a single person that hasn't liked it but then they wouldn't really say that to me.

Well, I have to say. I spoke to Richard Simmons and he said he hated it. I ran into him on the street at Sundance. So,

What was his problem with it?

He just hated it. He didn't think the character seemed believable, he didn't think He just didn't like it. I ran into him on the street and he freaked out and he just said, "I hate Cyrus."

I have to say though this morning, the first thing I did was like I always do, is I go to my Twitter and I asked the fans what they want me to ask you. And today, I got like 25 girls asking me So is Miley Cyrus in the movie? Is Jonah Hill the love interest of Miley Cyrus?

Yeah, Miley Cyrus actually wrote the film. Okay. Um, she's not in it. Jonah is the star and Marissa Tomei and myself are in the movie as the stars of the movie. Um, Mark and Jay Duplass directed the movie. Miley Cyrus is not in the movie. It's not about her life. She did write the script.

Now, what's really interesting too is that you know you worked with the Duplass Brothers who are known for that raw thing where you have to improv and they basically give you like a blueprint but you have to go with it. So, how is that you know working together?

It was really fun cuz Jonah and I actually worked together before in Walk Hard, which we pretty much we improvised our way through that one as well, didn't we?

Yeah, so these guys wrote a great script and then they just kinda gave us a lot of freedom and said, "Just put it in your own words." And even if the plot wants to change, we're open to it and they shot it almost like a documentary kinda way.

Is there one scene that you could say that was maybe one of your favorite scenes that didn't make it?

We shot so much stuff, I don't even remember what was left on the floor. Can you think of something, Jonah?

Yeah, we shot like a whole chunk of the movie where Cyrus moves out.

All right, right. The party.

And goes to live on his own. Yeah. With these like kids his own age but he doesn't know how to interact with them and I thought that stuff was really cool but it ended up getting cut out.

And so Marissa Tomei, so beautiful, beautiful mom. I mean of course you're gonna be protective over her. Did you ever have someone in high school, someone's mom that was a milf that you really wanted to?

Um, there were a few dilfs but not as many milfs.

And a gilf. How old do you go?

I lost my virginity to a 98-year-old. Wow. And this was last week so um, you know I'm dealing with that right now and now it's like where do I go from here? Do I keep going out with her? Does she remember who I am, so forth. Those kinds of questions really run through your head.

Yeah. Yeah. And for you, have you ever stalked anyone?

Yeah, no, I'm I've done a couple drive-bys. Doing some surveillance. But I would never actually stalk.

What's the furthest you've gone?

Drive-by. Drive-by. Slow drive-by. Like a house? And then my friend was such a jerk. This is I'm married to this woman now so I think I may have told her. Uh, slow drive-by where I was just kinda like scoping out and like my heart was racing. And he he was he was driving actually. I was in the passenger seat. He honked. And he honked the horn. And I was like, "Go, go, go." And he's like, "No, no." He kept beeping the horn and then finally I literally had to put my foot across the car and press on the gas and make him go.

I'm not gonna marry or have sex with Tom Hanks. No.
