Hey, you guys, what's happening? I'm your girl Dana Ward and we are here at the Young Hollywood Studio on the balcony. Ah, so exciting. Busy Phillips. We're in the heart of Beverly Hills here at the Four Seasons. Do you ever get mistaken for characters you've played? Hmm. Specifically like right now with Cougar Town. Laurie. Ray. Do people ever think you're actually Laurie? And what do you do when they when they when they think that?

No, people people don't haven't thought that I am actually my characters. Uh, sometimes I get Pink. I had a really awkward uh situation with a manicurist who was convinced I was Pink. Cuz she started it with I'm such a huge fan and I was like, oh wow, thank you so much. Yeah, that's awesome. Wow. You know who I am. That's great. And then uh as we got into it, I realized slowly as she was talking that she was thinking that I was Pink the pop star. Oh my God. And uh and I had to tell her and she then I could see it. She thought that I was lying to her.

What? It was very involved. It was very She flipped it. She was like, she totally flipped it on you.

At the end of the day, it was uncomfortable for everyone.

Yeah. Is the point. Now, I heard that you auditioned for Glee, speaking of singing.

Listen, I tweeted this yesterday, like I tweeted it like three days ago and it's like the biggest thing I've ever tweeted apparently. Yeah, because there's a lot of leaks out there. leaks. But I auditioned for Glee a week after I gave birth to my daughter, which was like maybe ill advised. And just, I'm just saying that when you give birth, maybe you stay home for three weeks. Let's just say three weeks. At least.

Three weeks. I see, I thought you Maybe you stay home for three months, maybe. The way you tweeted it, it was like, you had the baby and you're like, oh, T minus 30 minutes, gotta get to the Glee audition.

Exactly. That's what it felt like.

I gotta say, you are in amazing shape.

Oh, really?

Right now. So like, what did you do after having the baby?

Yeah, where did they go? Well, I tell you what, standing next to Courteney Cox every day will make a lady lose some weight. So she's like one of the best bodies on television. So it's incredibly motivational.

Of course, we want to talk a little about Cougar Town. What's your favorite part about being on the show?

You know, I have to say, honestly, this is one of my favorite jobs I've ever had. I love the cast so much. I love working with Courteney. I love getting to be funny in this way and um, and I think the show has really evolved over the first season into being such a great dysfunctional family show about these people who are friends and trying to make things work and I don't know, I love it. I love it. I love our writers, I love our producers. I love everyone involved with the show. And the cast genuinely really gets along. Like we, we do a lot of drinking on the show and we have started to do a lot of drinking off the show.

So, what we see is what we get, right?

It's kind of, yeah, it's kind of the case.

Okay, I have a question about your daughter and Justin Bieber. What is this connection?

My daughter kind of looks like Justin Bieber. I don't know, I don't know what to tell you about that. She just does. And I didn't know who he was, cuz I'm old, I'm an old lady.

Oh, shut up. No, you're not.

I'm not. But I'm not a 14 year old girl. So, I didn't know who he was. And then he was the guest, uh, the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. And I saw him for the first time and he was like doing his dance. I thought he was great, like this kid can really sing and he's talented. And we were watching it and I just turned to my husband and I was like, I feel like Bertie sort of looks like Justin Bieber. He's like, she does, a little bit. Same the same like beautiful swoopy hair.

I want to bring us all back to back in the day, Dawson's Creek.

Oh, sure.

One of my favorite shows. Great. Um, we recently had James Van Der Beek in and he was saying like you you stay in touch with each other.

I feel very lucky. I've worked with some amazing people over the years and I've made some really great friends and you know, I feel like every job you do if you can walk away with at least one good friend, you're you're good to go. Maybe some good work, I don't know.
