Young Hollywood, what's going on? We're with Alessio here. We're hanging out with Alessio. Yes. At the AMAs, dude. This is awesome. Yeah. You're performing. True. True. Yes. First time ever. Tell us what the performance is gonna be like.
It's a big stage with a like a big, I don't know how much I'm allowed to say. Am I allowed to say anything? I don't know. It's a big stage. This is like a, we're all performing in a big cube and, it's uh, you know, it's a lot of people in the song. It's Florida Georgia Line, Andrew Moyle, obviously, Haley and then me and so they definitely managed to separate us but also put us all together in a, in a bucket.
Yeah, that's good. Yeah. I'm taking a sneak, a sneak. And he was playing piano. Uh, yeah, the keyboards, the MIDI keyboards. How long you've been doing that for?
I started off playing piano when I was a kid and then, you know, eventually started producing and then obviously play a little bit but I've been practicing now for a while to able to do this.
Can I say that Swedes put out the best pop music in the world?
Thank you. Yes, you can.
Would you, would you agree?
That's an honor. Thank you.
Would you agree though?
I mean, yeah, we, we have a.
What's going on, dude?
Pretty good record in history, yeah. I don't know. I get that question a lot. Yeah. So.
Thanks for answering it again.
Yeah. Yeah, sure. Uh, I think it's just like in our culture to write uh, a lot of music and, uh, and everyone is always saying, you know, the weather brings us inside and staying outside cuz it's so dark most of the time. Um, so it's a combination of that.
Right, right. And I'd also say that if you want to put out a hit, you can do it. I don't know. Oh man, you put out Heroes, it was a massive success. Let me go. This song is a huge success.
Yeah, thank you. Um, well, I have to give a big shout-out to Andrew Watts and Ali Tamposi for doing this song with me cuz they're just crushing it right now and and they, uh, that they, you know, reached out to me to do this song with them is just, you know, amazing and it's our first song we've done too. So, I think we'll do a couple more.
Right. And it's got a mixture of genres.
Yeah. Yeah. It's like dance, country, uh, dance hall-ish with, you know, acoustic, electronic guitar and it's a, it's definitely a like a big fusion of sounds that makes it, you know, sound new. I think.
I've been to some awesome warehouse parties. Yeah. Where you popped up and they've had you DJ. Those are my favorite Alessio times.
Yeah. Those are a little bit different from what we're doing.
A little different. But those are so raw and edgy.
Oh, that's fun. No. I've I feel like I have like two sides. You know, one side is, you know, doing these things and pop and then I love, you know, the underground dance raid part of it.
If you had to, if you had to DJ at a house party for Young Hollywood, what would your set be like? What kind of genre would you, would you DJ?
I, you know, I just I try to read the crowd and the atmosphere and see what people are up for. So, I think that's the number one thing, uh, to be a good DJ is to able to, you know, sense what kind of vibe it is. You know, you just I just don't think you can just go play and play whatever you feel like. I mean, you should but also, you know, have a sense of feeling what people are in the mood for, uh, because DJing is about entertaining people dancing.
Right, right.
So, uh, yeah. I do a mix of what I like and what other people like.
Well, last time we hung out with you, was on Backstage Diaries. We took you shopping. Oh, yeah. Right? You didn't get anything. You didn't get anything. But dude, your style is always on point.
Thank you.
Sometimes I like to steal and and copy some of your stuff.
Oh, awesome. Thank you.
Yeah. Let's check, check out. Take out, check out his, uh, you got a cool tattoo. Show him your your tattoo that you got down there. What is that one? What is it?
It's a very spontaneous tattoo. Ah, it doesn't really mean anything. I just like the eagle.
Yeah, spontaneous but I like it. You like it? Yeah. Yeah. What's your, what is your logo?
Uh, my logo. Yeah, it's a like Yeah, it's a five circles, yeah.
Five circles. Yeah. Oh yeah, dude. Alessio here. You should get that one next. I'm going to get a tattoo. Can we go do that?
Oh, you should get one.
I can't have one. I want you to come with me though when we do it. We'll do the whole thing. We'll get.
I'll do it for you. I'll try. I actually have a friend that, uh, promised me I'm going to tattoo.
What are you going to be wearing when you're performing at the AMAs? This or something else?
Oh, no. Uh, I'll definitely suit up for the red carpet, um, and for the performance I think we're all wearing white. Uh, different styles but all white.
Yeah. And you still have your, uh, the win. You're still resident there.
Yeah. Another two more years. So.
Does that tire? Is that tire you ever or is that something that you always look forward to or what is it?
Uh, no. The it's like anything. Sometimes you need a break but I think the money's awesome. The money's awesome. You just. I mean, I will be honest. It's it's very like we've built a great relationship with them and like after all these years and I feel like we really now understand what we like and how we want the nights to be and, uh, and I'm I'm actually really having a good time every time when there. It's it's it's an easy gig but fun and, you know, I try to bring friends too sometimes to.
That's the best part. Yeah. That is the bring your friends out to see you. It's always awesome. What's like your favorite festival that you've ever performed at in your entire life?
Um, in Asia, in Europe and America. I think Coachella is definitely one.
Really?
Yeah. I love it. Okay. Cuz you you really people I like the idea of people actually going where they're choosing where to go to see someone. Not just like, oh, we're here for the festival. People actually can choose what stage and who's playing where. So, and it's a lot more pressure but I like that people don't necessarily just come for uh, the dance music. They come for the actual artist who created it.
Right. Yeah. There's also some good parties too.
Yeah. Definitely.
You ever you ever just go off and do the you you DJ some of those parties too.
Yes. Yeah. Sometimes I just jump on and.
This guy he put him anywhere. Entertainment and he's a stud. Look how stud this guy is.
Thank you.
I don't know. Right. I got to give you some.
Do my best.
You're the man.
Thank you.
Good to see you again.
