Paris Jackson: 'Love tweets were just a joke, I'm single'

Michael Jackson's teenage daughter Paris has dismissed reports suggesting she is dating aspiring rapper Romeo Hodges, insisting love messages exchanged between them were just "a joke".

After asking her Twitter.com followers to pray for Hodges following a car accident last month (Jan12), the pair's friendship appeared to have blossomed into romance this week (beg30Jan12) and when a mutual friend suggested "Yah (sic) should just be girlfriend & boyfriend already" 13-year-old Paris responded, "idk (I don't know) Romeo Hodges... are we?"

The young rapper added, "Let's hope it's a yes... my heart has the answer."

Paris also revealed she and Hodges had special song, sending followers to Christina Perri's Twilight love theme A Thousand Years video on YouTube.com.

But, the young love is not for real - Jackson ended the week on Friday (03Feb12) with the tweet, "Dear media, I'm single...! Sincerely, it was a joke."
