Nikki Reed's wedding had 'music festival' vibe

Nikki Reed made sure her wedding to singer Paul Mcdonald had a relaxed atmosphere by giving the outdoor ceremony a "music festival" theme.

The 23-year-old Twilight actress wed American Idol finalist McDonald, 27, at a ranch in Malibu, California on 16 October (11) in front of 130 friends and family.

The couple has shared pictures of its big day with UsWeekly magazine and Reed has opened up about the emotional ceremony.

She tells the publication, "I spied from the house and watched Paul walk down the aisle first. And I'll always remember when he looked up at me as I approached. We were both crying. It was the longest 10 feet of my life."

Reed also revealed they wanted to keep the nuptials laid back, adding, "The first thing Paul said to me was, 'I want this to feel like an outdoor music festival'. We had blankets out so people could lie down and look at the stars when they got tired of dancing... No one stopped dancing. Most people kicked their shoes off!"
