Madonna wants to make Prince William film

Madonna is eager to make another film about British royalty, but she wants to wait 10 years before bringing Prince William's story to the big screen.

The pop superstar has stepped behind the camera to direct new movie W.E., which tells the story of Britain's King Edward VIII, who abdicated the throne to marry divorcee Wallis Simpson.

Madonna admits she is fascinated by young royal Prince William and his new bride Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, but she wouldn't want to make a film about them for a least another decade.

She tells Britain's Sunday Mirror, "I think maybe it is too soon to make a film about William and Kate but I definitely would if I could wait a decade first..."

She adds, "I like Kate Middleton and think she's quite chic and intelligent. I hope she's a fan of mine, too."
