Angelina Jolie wanted to be funeral director

Angelina Jolie had a career as a funeral director lined up if her acting dreams didn't take off.

The accomplished Salt star, who was recently named Hollywood's highest paid actress of 2011, confesses she once set her sights on serving as an undertaker.

During an interview on 60 Minutes, which aired on Sunday (27Nov11), she revealed, "It sounds like this very strange, eccentric, dark thing to do but in fact I lost my grandfather and was very upset with his funeral.

"How somebody passes and how family deals with this passing and what death is should be addressed in a different way. If this whole acting thing didn't work out that was going to be my path."

Ironically the Oscar winner did go on to become a director, just in a slightly different capacity - this year (11) she made her filmmaking debut in upcoming Bosnian film In The Land of Blood and Honey.
