Adam Levine: 'The Voice cellphone gag was a prank on the public, not me'

Rocker Adam Levine has confessed the cell phone prank his fellow The Voice judge Blake Shelton pulled on him recently was actually on the public.
Shelton appeared to give out Levine's private cell phone number during a live broadcast of the show, and the Maroon 5 singer played along with the joke for a month - but now he's tired of people asking how he will pay the country singer back.
He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "That was not real. I'm not
supposed to say that, but I don't give a s**t, because it's so
silly.
"Telling you is probably my way of not having to do other gags in
the future. I want people to know it was bulls**t and we were
messing with them."
